Stone Monkey is a 3-4-5 piece band (Depending on the gig:)) complete with Lights and two different PA system setups to accommodate any type of Venu large or small. Stone Monkey was formed in late 2003, and after one week of practice played their first successful show. Since then they have been a dominent band in the Black Hills of South Dakota playing many types of events from weddings, Jam Fests, Bluegrass Festivals, and countless venues. Stone Monkey is made up of true musicians that love and play it all with Funk, Blues, Swing, Jazz, Country, Rock, and even a touch of Latin. The members of Stone Monkey Includes:
Jeff Hudson: Guitars, Vocals -From Hot Springs SD. Fronting the band with help of Guitar influences such as "Stevie Ray Vaughan", South Dakotas own "Indigenous", "Chris Duarte", and vocal influences of "Paul Rodgers", "Jonny Lang", "Robert Cray" along with many others, Jeff has become a professional guitar slinger, singer/songwriter who has played the Black Hills music scene for 8 years now.
Kevin Terkildson from Rapid City SD on the guitar, has been playing for 30 years around the area. For the last 10 years it has been with Stone Monkey!! Kevin has blues, funk, and rock influence. He can play it all and he still just gets better and better!
Garrett From Spearfish SD on the Bass Guitar. Garrett is for sure one of the best Bassists in The Black Hills and Stone Monkey in fortunate enough to have him in the lineup. He has Funk, Jazz, Blues, and Soul influences but can play anything you throw at him.
Jeff Kottwitz From Piedmont SD on The Harmonica and Backing Vocals. Jeff has been playing harp for years around the local music scene in The Black Hills of South Dakota. He came and sat in with us one night and it was a match made in heaven and he has been with us ever since! A great harp player who adds a nice touch to every song!
Nik Scott, From Oklahoma on the drums and harmony vocals. Nik has been playing drums for around 20 years and been in many bands in the area throughout his life. But Nik has been a part of Stone Monkey for most of it. He is an unbelievable drummer, and when you see him you will understand!
